Ugh, never again.
So fairy lights! We've already mentioned them before, and I am going to mention them in today's post.
And they'll probably be mentioned later too.
What can you do though, they have so much swag.
Ugh, never again.
Recently I got really into the whole Christmas spirit thing (hence the blog, duh) and that includes me really wanting to have my bedroom top notch for Christmas as I spend a lot of time here. And that, as you might have guessed includes fairy lights. Sooooo before I introduce you to those let me talk you through my deco ideas:
- Fairy lights as main lighting
- Christmas cards hung on a string in my window
- Those hung up with mini green and red clothes pegs
- Christmas Bedding
- Christmas Pillows on bed and in mini cosy corner (that doesn't exist)
- Christmas stickers here and there
- Decorate notice board
- Gather a large crowd of teddies
- Hang the cards on thick golden thread
That's pretty much all the ideas I had so far. You see I enjoy interior decorating but when it comes to certain things I have a mind block. Deja vu?
Onto the fairy lights!
Previously, I had only one strand of warm white fairy lights, and that recently transformed into 7 strands of different colours. And those include...
4 strands of 20 LED white warm bulbs. I plan these to go on my desk, bed headboard, chest of drawers and this chest with pillows I have.
I also have 2 multicoloured fairy lights. They're in the usual red, yellow, blue and green colours. I got these with the thought of putting them on my door frame.
Last and not least I have the blue snowflake fairy lights. They're a little shorter than I wanted them to be but I can live with it. These I wanted to go on my window in between my Christmas cards.
The plan is to put them out at some point in November or at the start of December to warm up the area a bit and I think that warm white lights make the area seem a lot more fun and warm than the ordinary light bulb so that's fantastic for decorating your space for Christmas. This is a really big other reason I an't wait for Christmas, because I love me some fairy lights. ^.^
I got all of these from Ebay, and they were all under £2 except from the snowflake lights, those were around £4. I had to scavenge some batteries from around the house which made the lights quite dim (I needed 14 batteries ok) but I bought a pack of 8 a few days ago and they did make these a lot more distinct and brighter so all in all the quality is good.
One more thing is how well these blend in especially if you have white walls like me, so in day time you can't see these.
Hope ya'll enjoyed.
See ya next time!
98 days!
